Toon has travelled regularly to Gambia and feels a strong connection with the Gambian people in general and the villagers of Mayamba in particular. As a board member of SVKO–Mayamba-Support, his involvement has expanded to include multiple projects across different regions of Gambia.

Advisor SVKO–Mayamba Support Hans,
a retired social entrepreneur, continues to play an active role in various initiatives in both the Netherlands and Africa. As an advisor and initiator, he focuses primarily on education and employment to support disadvantaged regions in Africa, including Gambia. His main drive is to implement realistic and achievable projects.

Daan is a driving force behind the merger between SVKO and the Mayamba Support Foundation. Although he has not yet visited Gambia himself, he feels closely connected to all the projects and contributes broadly to bringing them to life.

Board Member SVKO–Mayamba-Support Since 2017, Annemarie has been deeply involved with the country of Gambia in general and the village of Mayamba in particular. Her annual visits strengthen the warm bond she shares with the local community and motivate her to dedicate herself to the foundation and its related activities.

Board Member SVKO–Mayamba Support Leny has served as a board member of
SVKO for many years and has helped initiate and complete numerous projects. For many years, she has travelled to Gambia several times a year to visit projects, reconnect with friends, and support local initiatives.
ANITA & LEON VAN BEEK - DEN BOER
Supporting Members of SVKO–MayambaSupport
Anita and Leon have been actively engaged with the country of Gambia since 2017, with a particular focus on the village of Mayamba. Together with Annemarie and Toon, they travel to Gambia each year, dedicating special attention to the community of Mayamba. Over the years, Anita and Leon have consistently committed themselves to improving the well-being of its residents.
Their strong connection with Gambia, their longstanding relationship with the people of Mayamba, and their deep sense of involvement with the local community continue to inspire and motivate them to support the foundation and its related initiatives.
