MUHAMMED CAMARA
Active in the tourism industry, founder and drivingforce behind the Mayamba Football Academy, serving both as coach and sportingdirector.
Mayamba Football Academy is a place where passion for football and the development of young talent come together. The academy was founded by former professional footballer Muhammed Camara, whose own journey,
from growing up in Mayamba to playing in the Third Division of Gambia — became
the inspiration behind it.
Despite his talent and dedication, his professional career was hindered by obstacles. This experience motivated him to guide young players more effectively. From that vision, the Mayamba Football Academy was born: a place where young people can develop their skills, build confidence, and grow as individuals — whether they pursue a professional career or simply carry a lifelong love for the game.
