In the villages where SVKO‑Mayamba‑Support is active, many families live in circumstances where basic necessities are not always within reach. Employment opportunities are limited, making it difficult for households to provide essentials such as clothing, hygiene products and shoes.

In addition to sponsoring a school‑going child, many supporters choose to send packages on a regular basis. These boxes often contain clothing, toys, personal care items, footwear and other practical goods that make an immediate difference in daily life.

The system is simple and highly effective. A filled banana box, labeled with the required stickers, can be dropped off at a distribution point such as Gambia for You. For just €9.50, the box is placed in a shipping container, transported to Banjul and delivered to a local pickup point. The recipient is contacted by phone and can collect the package personally.

This straightforward method has resulted in thousands of boxes being sent over the years — each one providing valuable support to families in need.
