School Sponsorship Project Latri‑Ya, Sukuta and Brufut

The school sponsorship project focuses primarily on supporting school‑going children in Latri‑Ya, a village located southeast of Banjul. In addition to Latri‑Ya, children in surrounding communities such as Sukuta and Brufut also receive support.

For many children in The Gambia, attending school is far from guaranteed. That is why SVKO aims to guide a group of children from Nursery (kindergarten) through Grade 8, after which they are encouraged to continue their educational journey independently. This long‑term support is made possible thanks to dedicated sponsors who often accompany one or two children throughout the entire trajectory.

The Latri‑Ya school project has been running for more than ten years, and we are proud to say that many children have successfully completed their school careers through this program.
