Project Mayamba

The Mayamba Support Foundation, established on April 17, 2024, aims to improve the well-being and progress of underprivileged children and youth in the Mayamba community in Gambia by providing quality education. The foundation focuses on setting up its own vocational school and developing activities to make the school self-sufficient. In this effort, the foundation collaborates with the Village Development Committee and the Mayamba Football Academy to enhance local and regional engagement and to increase the competencies of the youth in the community.

The foundation also strives to improve the living conditions and future prospects of people in disadvantaged communities in Gambia, thereby reducing the inclination to emigrate. Furthermore, the foundation aims to contribute to the development of skills that are locally and regionally self-sufficient and that support the self-development and future orientation of the local population.
